Casa Margherita is a holiday home in Tuscany, in a village betwen Siena and Grosseto. It has been fully restored in 2008 but the original Tuscan style of the rustic stone house has been preserved.
The front door opens onto the street that leads to the centre of the village of Casale di Pari: the house is located only steps away from the village bar and from the ancient village fountain where the women washed their clothes and peaple used to stop to pick up water or to let their donkeys and horses have a drink.
The main entrance opens into the sitting room with an open fireplace and an old kitchen cupboard. The fireplace is working and it has been restored to bring it back to its original splendour.
From this room one can either access the kitchen or go upstairs to the second floor.
The kitchen is fully equipped to ensure that our guests can be independent and enjoy traying their hands at Italian cuisine! If the “experiment” is not successful there is always the excellent restaurant in the main village square, “Da Rosanna”!
The kitchen table can accommodate 4 to 6 people.
The kitchen has an old wooden stove that we have restored and kept functioning. It is provided with a gas stove with electric oven as well of course and with all the necessary appliances.
The old wall cupboard and the traditional Tuscan stone sink have been preserved.
From the kitchen, guests can access a portico, a covered outdoor sitting area, and the shared garden.
On the top floor, there are two bedroom: one is a double bedroom and the other one can be arranged as either a double or a twin bedroom.
The double bedroom overlooks the garden. It has plenty of storage space for luggage and the furniture is original of the 19th century. The bed is a double bed size or French bed (140cm wide).
The second bedroom can be arranged as a twin or a double bedroom and it has an ensuite WC room with basin.
There is a second full bathroom with shower that is accessed from the corridor where the two bedrooms open.
The house is non-smoking only. Pets and children are welcome. Guests are responsible for any damage to the premises and will be charged if something gets broken.
